TV Work

These past couple of months have been incredible with the influx of work! I have been fortunate enough to work on an English Language series for a client. It was one of the most amazing productions I've worked on. The cast and crew were just delightful. Here is a shot of me playing "Uma" on the show. More details to be released once the project has been released. I also worked on the show "Monsters Inside Me" for Discovery ID. Great couple of days shooting in Brooklyn and a creepy, abandoned hospital out in Newark, NJ. I also worked with my youngest co-star - a 15 month old baby.  That was quite the experience in itself! I play the mom of a child who contracts a virus.  The wardrobe was hilarious! I felt so basic playing a Texan woman!

Recent photoshoot with The Phoblographer in Williamsburg

Collaborated with one of my favorite photographers, Chris Gampat (aka The Phoblographer ) and braved the low 30's to take some Lady Gaga-inspired shots. Freezing cold - but the images were worth it!

Umbrella Photo Shoot with the Phoblographer in Bushwick, Brooklyn

The end of the year is getting close - so before it gets absolutely freezing, Chris Gampat (The Phoblographer) and I decided to collaborate before 2014 comes to an end. We experimented with the Elinchrom light umbrella. It was a gruelling shoot - the umbrella had no handle and was super heavy...but the photos made it totally worth it!

On hold for a new series!

This just in! I am on hold for a new series.  I can't divulge too much information just yet - but I will once/if I am booked for this. Also - I have been booked on a really exciting and ground-breaking concept photo shoot.  Again - I have to keep tight-lipped on it for now - but be sure to check back on the blog to find out more details! What a great week it has been so far!

More photos from my photoshoot with The Phoblographer in Bushwick

I've been looking over the files from the shoot Chris Gampat and I did last week! So many wonderful images came out of this shoot! Check these beauties out!

Check out the latest photos from my shoot with Chris Gampat (aka - ThePhoblographer)

I'm Absolutely over the moon with how these images turned out!  We shot in (according to Vogue) the 6th hippest neighborhood in the world right now - Bushwick (Brooklyn, NY) Next, we hit up The Graham Bar to shoot some more experimental type shots. These kind of remind me of something you would see in a film noir...

Sneak Peek from Behind the Scenes of my first photoshoot for the fall!

A little sneak peek from my latest photo shoot in Bushwick (Brooklyn, NY) with The Phoblographer's   Editor-in-Chief, Chris Gampat! We shot some really fun stuff around the neighborhood. I did a lot of climbing, swinging and posing against some awesome murals. Watch this space to see the final results! Also - make sure you check out The Phoblographer's Website

Quick Update

July has certainly been keeping me busy! I have been taking another workshop with Director/Actor Coach Heidi Marshall.  She has been really helping me identify my strengths as an actor throughout the three weeks I have been working with her. Early July, she assigned us an Indie Photo Shoot.  I collaborated with Michael Hall ("Kids Get Dead 2") and shared the preview results in my last post. The retouched images will be coming early next week. In the meantime - I was playing around with a 90's inspired look today. Kinda loving the grunge/riot-grrl look I got going.

Brooklyn Bridal Shoot - by Jason Lanier

A few weeks back, I collaborated with "LA's Best Photographer" (according to Fox News)  Jason Lanier for a Bridal Shoot. We racked our brains for a kick-ass location, and I could only suggest one place...Magicland! He had a rental car, and all of his equipment, so it made perfect sense for him to drive to Williamsburg and park his car without any dramas. Needless to say, Jason fell in love with location.  It is an incredibly versatile space - and the natural light that comes through in the afternoon is astounding. Jason also had a spare dress with him - and my Brazilian room mate, Patricia came home just in time to be a bride, too!  We threw her in the deep end, but she rose to the challenge, and had a ball.  (You can read a bit about that in an earlier post of mine  http://becfordyce.blogspot.com/2010/05/magicland.html  and see a shot of her with Jason in the loft) The next stop was the famous Magicland rooftop.  We waited for the sun to go down ...

Magicland

The week that has just finished has been the most surreal week of my life. It all started when I moved into my new apartment in Williamsburg. It is no ordinary apartment. It is called "Magicland". It is the trippiest place I have ever seen. Imagine a place where every time you look around, you find something weird and wonderful to laugh at. We have all sorts of insane things in this apartment... kitsch LP's (artists like Wham!, Janis Joplin, Prince to name a few...), animal masks, peacock feathers, hookahs and candles with Pope John Paul 2nd. The first night I moved in, we had a dance class in the loft. It was designed to open up the chakras - so there were lots of sunshines and rainbows being made by all. I then had a bridal shoot with LA photographer, Jason Lanier. He was after a location, so I suggested Magicland to him. He just so happened to have a second bridal dress. My room mate, Patricia's came home and was surprised with her very first photo shoot! We s...
